Electric Boogaloo Playlist for 09.22.11
A couple special announcements before we get to last week’s playlist:
First, founders of the Etowah River Music Festival will be joining the crew in studio this week to tell us about the event, taking place October 7th and 8th at the Etowah River Campgrounds and featuring our friend Uncle Joe’s Medicine Show, Georgia Soul Council and a whole lot more . Haven’t confirmed, but we’ll potentially have a weekend pass or two to give away on air, too. So definitely check it out as Treacherous is on call for the setlist this Thursday.
Secondly, and this is quite short notice, but the Midtown Art Cinema (10th and Monroe) is showing Soulthunder, the story of the reunion of Conrad Johnson and the Kashmere Stage Band, exec-produced by Jamie Foxx. It’s sure to be a heart touching story with some seriously bad funk on the soundtrack, but it only runs through this Thursday. You’ve got eight more chances to catch it with Wednesday and Thursday show times of 2:15, 4:35, 7:35, and 9:40.
Ok, finally, the playlist from last week, on which The Price is Right held it down quite solidly. Pick up the stream here! or embedded in the Electric Boogaloo home page.
