Live@WREK 4/17/12 – John Vournakis

Tonight we have John Vournakis playing for us, 10PM.

Born in Connecticut, raised in Georgia, and edified in Michigan, John Vournakis writes songs in the American tradition that wander toward a ground he can call his own.

With lyrics and melodies equal parts nostalgic and haunted, Vournakis questions what it means to be a good man in America today.

Technical Difficulties! Continental Drift for April 16, 2012

No, the title of this post is not the name of a strange new country. Unfortunately, the drift did not air as expected, and only the second half of the program made to the airwaves, but fear not! We are working diligently with the engineers of our great station to ensure that this does not happen again.

For those who are curious, the theme this week would have been Egypt, so in order to make up for this week’s shortcomings, we will re-air the Egypt episode next week. Don’t miss it! It’s a great one, I promise 🙂
